Highway for the Remnant
"And there shall be an highway for the remnant of His people." Isaiah 11:16
Welcome to Highway for the Remnant Ministries; a voice crying in the wilderness of despair and confusion with a message of hope. Our special focus is the proclamation of the four (4) angels messages of Revelation chapters 14 and 18. These are Jesus’ final messages of warning to the world, encouraging a serious preparation for His soon coming to claim His own. In light of confusing messages coming to us from without and within, we find that there is great need for revival and reformation in our midst and a return to the “Old Paths” as the prophet Jeremiah states “Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein." The “good way” is found in the old paths; truths that never change. Our desire here at Highway for the Remnant Ministries is to be used of the Holy Spirit in making that revival and reformation a reality in all of our lives, that we all might be counted in that final gathering when His people will be ushered into His everlasting Kingdom.Pastor Scott Shafer ~ Highway for the Remnant Ministries, Inc.
1 John 4:18 – “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear; because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.”
We live in a world where men’s hearts are failing them for fear. Fearing for future catastrophes, they do not see a way out. They are gripped with a sense of foreboding, because to them, the world seems to be ruled by a stern judge instead of a God of love and mercy. This is because they are not acquainted with God’s character. For those who have experienced God’s love, fear is banished. Didn’t we just read “Perfect love castest out fear”?
There was a judge in a city in the Midwest who appeared to the community as callous, unsympathetic, and was greatly feared because of the severity of his decisions. Some children who had heard their parents speaking about the severity of this judge said to the judge’s little girl while at school..”Your daddy is a terrible man. He puts people in prison and makes them work hard. Aren’t you afraid to live in the same house with him?” The Judge’s daughter responded: “Oh! You can’t scare me. I know my daddy and I love him.”
Do you and I love our heavenly “Daddy” and do we love and trust Him? And because of this we are not afraid of Him. There is nothing that can come our way which He cannot handle.
King David possessed the love of God in his life. He was hunted day and night by his enemies. At any moment his life could have been taken, but he said..”In God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do to me”. With God as our companion we have nothing to fear. He is a very present help in time of trouble.
I can assure you that I have learned much over the past year or so of the trustworthiness of God when all odds are against me. His strength was made perfect in my weakness and I can tell you that I amassed a relationship to our wonderful God and His trustworthiness and had the opportunity to actually realize just how His strength was made perfect because I was so weak. What a blessed and merciful God we serve.
Life Sketches pg 196 says: “We have nothing to fear for the future, except as we shall forget the way the Lord has led us, and His teaching in our past.”
May you be blessed and kept by our Heavenly Father. This is but a small taste of the demonstration of His strength that is yet to come.
Thank Him for the trials, and above all….. TRUST HIM
